Our Mission

Mason Zissou (left) Thomas Zissou (right)

We want to prove to the world that monsters are indeed real. Some have called us madmen, but trust us, and we will prove to you monsters are real. With our scary scary videos and ears that will hear, we will have real evidence of the wacky creatures that live near.
As Steve Zissou once said:

I'm going to find, and I'm going to destroy it. I don't know how yet. Possibly with dynamite.

Here is a list of real Monsters that we have tracked down:

Our Story

Mason and Thomas Zissou were born in 2006 in Georgia, US. Since they were one month old, they had dreamt of becoming monster hunters, but in 2006, monster-hunting babies were frowned upon. Their father, Steve Zissou, was a world renowned oceanographer, so the boys instantly had fame. To add on to their large following, in 2012, Thomas became the world's greatest chicken soup eater. Everybody around the world cheered for him in the Chicken Soup Consumer Contest in December of 2012.

In the midst of Thomas' fame, Steve gained access to all of the NOAA, which he would use to start producing his next film in Alaska. After a swift, but failed, attempt to take over the state, Steve was shot by the FBI in January of 2013. Devastated, Thomas quit his chicken soup-eating career and spent more time with his family.

After Steve died, the Zissou Society, his group of men who assisted with his films, slowly broke apart. Wanting to preserve his legacy, Mason tried to keep the group together, but to no avail. The Zissou name was given notoriety, and none of the men wanted to be associated with the family anymore. Although his first attempt failed, Mason still wanted to keep Steve's legacy alive. Mason started a new branch of the Zissou Society in July of 2013, named Zissou Society: Monster Hunters.

In the same month, Thomas started producing a show called Zissou Explores, which was about him exploring parts of the ocean. The first episode of the show was released in November of 2013, and received very low reviews from the public and critics alike. People did not want to see the Zissou name anymore. After this, Thomas decided to settle down, and got a job as a marine biologist at the Georgia Aquarium. He was fired from his job a week later for "spreading obviously false information about the aquatic life," and was also banned from visiting the location.

With Thomas' recent failure, Mason started doubting himself, but he kept going. Zissou Society: Monster Hunters had no customers over its six month lifespan. Mason kept the company with his family's money, but worked as an English teacher for 7 years.

In August of 2021, the boys regrouped. They had not spoken since 2013, when they split to pursue their careers. On the morning of August 16, Thomas was reading the newspaper, and saw an article on a monster sighting. Thomas looked at Mason and said, in a serious tone, "Get the equipment ready. It's scary time." So, that night, the boys went out and filmed their experience for a new show which they called "Zissou Society: Monster Hunters." They found nothing, and the footage was deleted.

Every night after that, the boys went out to hunt monsters, but found nothing. On the morning of December 20, Thomas found another article about "Three-Foot Monks" and a "Muskle Man" in the area. That night, they went out to hunt them down. The rest is history.

Now, you may be wondering, "How do you know so much about Mason and Thomas Zissou?" Well, that's because I am him. I am Mason Zissou and Thomas Zissou.
